Aug 31, 2020, 02:28
EWOOTEC increased the production capacity of transformers that EWOOTEC manufactured. EWOOTEC, an Energy Valley No. 1 manufacturer specializing in electric power equipment in Naju, Jeollanam-do, has already purchased huge land in the Naju Innovation Industrial Complex, and has expanded the production line for transformers that are rapidly increasing in demand.
Founded in 1999, EWOOTEC has the detection and management of underground facilities as its main field. With its proprietary magnetic marker technology and Geographic Information System (GIS), EWOOTEC has accumulated expertise in the field of detection and maintenance of underground facilities using magnetic fields. The high-efficiency transformer, which started production after building a factory in Naju Innovation Industrial Complex, is a field that has been used as a new growth engine for EWOOTEC.
The production of high-efficiency transformers and corrugated pipes is showing results. After moving into the Naju Innovation Industrial Complex, EWOOTEC received an order of 3,200 units of the transformers from KEPCO. In the future, EWOOTEC will makes additional products such as compact ground transformers, flame-resistant pole transformers, amorphous pole transformers, mold transformers, and circular corrugated pipes.
The relationship with KEPCO began when it was selected as a partner in the management of underground distribution networks. While growing as an underground facility management business, EWOOTEC decided to establish a production base in Naju as KEPCO had a plan to build Energy Valley. EWOOTEC became the first company to build a factory among the companies in the Energy Valley.
In line with the expansion of new business, EWOOTEC will also create new jobs by hiring local personnel and expand investment in new energy industries such as energy storage (ESS).
An official from EWOOTEC said, “After the Naju plant was completed, orders are pouring out.” “We plan to further expand product lines in new industries and enter the public bidding market.”
