INEM's rubber products passed the German BASF test INEM's technology recognized by Germany, a strong manufacturing industrial country
Feb 18, 2021, 09:25
The rubber O-Ring product of INEM passed the test by BASF, a German multinational chemical company. Recently, BASF attempted to replace the existing German components with domestic ones in terms of localization of installation parts.
Although performance tests have been conducted with a number of domestic companies, INEM was the only company that passed the test in the extreme situation where the concentration of sulfuric acid exceeded 80% in the operating environment.
Through BASF's test, INEM's products were recognized for both chemical resistance and durability. As a result of the test, unlike the existing products, which had a lot of chemical products on the surface, INEM's products had almost nothing. In addition, the problem of the existing product, which was deformed after the working time exceeded 2,000 hours, was not found in the INEM product.
This is due to the technology of INEM, which has strong resistance to fossil fuels like petroleum and solvents such as nitric acid and thinner.
Founded in 2007, INEM currently produces various rubber parts such as O-rings, diaphragms, and gaskets using a total of 12 materials. The optimal material is used in consideration of the characteristics of the parts to be manufactured and the working environment in which the parts will be used. Because specific gravity, hardness, tensile strength, elongation, and commercial temperature are different for each material, it is possible to produce products optimized for the working environment. This technology of INEM was not only recognized by BASF. From public companies such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and KEPCO KPS to leading conglomerates such as Doosan and Hyundai, INEM's products are used to certify the quality.
According to an official of INEM, "This BASF's test was in an environment of 80% sulfuric acid, but we have also passed the test conducted in an extreme work environment that has to withstand nuclear power plants or high temperature and high pressure." In addition, “There are many customers who use rubber parts produced by famous overseas manufacturers and then replace them with parts made by INEM” he said. He added, “The strength of INEM’s parts compared to foreign companies’ are that supply is way to smoother and competitive price.”
