Korea EHT to supply ‘high-performance fire-resistance cables’ in earnest Acquired UL certification requiring fire resistance performance
Aug 10, 2022, 11:53
The fire safety standards revised earlier this year raise the standard for fire-fighting wires to high fire-resistance performance that undergoes a flame test and impact test at 830°C. We supply fire resistant cables with much higher performance.
Fire resistant wire of Korea EHT, a Korean electric heating cable manufacturer is a next-generation wire filled with magnesium oxide that can withstand about 2600℃. In case of fire, it can function without burning for more than 2 hours. In particular, it has obtained both UL2196 and BS6387 certifications, which require fire resistance performance of 2 hours at 1010℃ and 3 hours at 950℃.
Recently, it has passed all tests in accordance with the strengthened fire safety standards from the Korea Testing and Research Institute for Chemical Convergence. Another advantage is that it is easy to install and economical. Although the cost of the wire itself is high, it is not necessary to install a separate conduit, so labor and material costs can be reduced.
No matter how well the firefighting facilities are equipped, if the wires connected to them are ruptured or the current is not supplied, the entire facility will be shut down. Korea EHT, a Korean electric heating cable manufacturer supplies various types of product groups that can connect 1 to 19 conductors at a time within the voltage specification of up to 750V.
KOREA EHT official in Korea said, “In case of a fire, if the wires of firefighting facilities are damaged, they may become inoperable, so the fire resistance performance of wires is an important factor. We will supply related products smoothly so that we can contribute to the stabilization of firefighting facilities in Korea.”
Otherwise, KOREA EHT, a Korean electric heating cable manufacturer, has developed ‘Electric Heating Cable’ as a new technology ‘Heating Tracing’ method. The heating cable converts electrical energy into thermal energy and maintains a constant temperature by applying an electrical heat source to the liquid flowing in the pipe.
