Sandcraft, for example, can create ant caves by making mountains with AR, and catch insects by touching sand, which is effective for children's physical perception, emotional development, and creativity problem solving. In particular, since special sand with moderate viscosity is used, the texture of sand felt by hand is maximized.
"The sand used for Sandcraft has antibacterial activity using natural beeswax, squalene and lavender oil, and the sand passed the test hosted by the construction environment life test laboratory, so it is the only 100% natural sand in Korea," said Mr. Lee. It is a safe product that has been tested, and it has three related patents. Cellbig won the Science and Technology Information and Communication Excellence Award.
Mr. Lee said, "Sandcraft has been distributed to more than 150 domestic theme parks, playrooms, educational facilities, exhibitions, national defense, public institutions, etc., and it has entered the Southeast Asian market such as Japan, the Philippines, Cambodia, and the US market since 2017. Cellbig is expanding global commercialization."
Cellbig signed a business agreement to establish a local joint venture in Cambodia earlier this year, and made a contract with the Philippine Ayral Group to create a global theme park. Cellbig is making full-scale entry into overseas markets by promoting local joint ventures, and establishing a history museum, and making a business agreement for a digital theme park development project in China.
"Cellbig is growing while developing and applying contents that combines VR, AR, Mixed Reality, and AI based on the foundation technology through continuous R&D," said Mr. Lee.
Cellbig plans to focus on 'Lumi Sand', an upgraded version of Sandcraft, and 'Holo Star', an artificial intelligence hologram speaker. The new contents will provide emotional digital world to customers with new types of convergence contents that have never been seen before.
In the era of video content, Cellbig is planning to provide high-quality contents through collaboration. Mr. Lee expressed his confidence, saying, “With the commercialization of Sandcraft, Cellbig has secured a global awareness, so the experience we have had in domestic and foreign markets has a strong portfolio, so the possibilities for collaboration with high-tech industries in the future are endless.”
